Munnar is hillstation with lots of tea plantation. The scenic beauty of mountains is heightened by the presence of Anamudi, South India’s highest mountain peak, 11km away from Munnar town.
Thekkady (Idukki district) , the location of the Periyar National Park, houses to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs. It is a storehouse of natural spices like black pepper,cardamom, cinnamon and clove.
Kumarakom , a popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam ,n Kerala is famous for its backwater tourism. It is set in the backdrop Vembanadu, the largest fresh water lake in kerala.
Houseboats are one of the most wonderful thing to experience in Kerala. It cruises through the backwaters of Kerala. Made of wooden planks tied together with coconut ropes and painted with oil of cashew nuts on the inside these are the most primitive form of cargo transportation
